Wild West Days at Mahaffie Sept. 28-29
Hands-on activities and live performances for the whole family. Take the free shuttle bus from Olathe North High school for this event. New Family Friendly Pricing! $5/person ages 5 and up or five tickets for $20!
Enjoy lots of hands on cowboy activities and entertainment for the whole family!
Performances may include acts from the Whip Crackin’ Dare Devils, Wicked Liars, the Santa Fe Desperadoes, Gunsmoke & Petticoats, Rose Marie Fiesta Mexicana Dancers (Sunday) and music by 3 Trails West.

Wagon Wheel Orchard
Apple Picking in Olathe! No spray orchard. We will flag the trees that are ripe. As a preservation orchard you will also see fruit that is never in the store. KC Beer Fest Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 3-6

KC Beer Fest was founded in 2007 by the Kansas City CARE Clinic (formerly Kansas City Free Health Clinic) and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City. Over 12,000 beer connoisseurs and first-timers have attended KC Beer Fest over the years, sampling hundreds of craft brews from around the world. KC Beer Fest has been a huge success and is viewed by many as the premier craft beer festival in not only Kansas City, but the Midwest.
Grunauer Oktoberfest Saturday, September 28, 2013 6:00 pm
Authentic Germanic cuisine is finally being offered in the heart of Kansas City. Nicholas and Peter Grünauer, along with long-time friend and Viennese restauranteur Klaus Piber, have collaborated in order to open a namesake Viennese Gasthaus in the historic Freight House. The restaurant is the second iteration of the family’s popular and long-lived restaurant of the same name in Vienna’s artsy Neubau neighborhood, and they hope to bring much of the same inspired Austrian cooking, hospitality and atmosphere to downtown Kansas City. Tickets are $12 for the entire weekend and the first beer is included in the price. Tickets are $12 in advance at the Grunauer bar or $15 at the door.
